Carsky's 5!

Yesterday was Carson's birthday and it was full of entertainment and delight! I taught preschool in the morning and kept all those kids for the party. I thought it would be fun to invite all the moms and any siblings that were at home to come too. It was fun, but so crazy!! 23 people including me; the majority of them under 5. Good times, good times.

For dinner it was the birthday boy's choice - McDonald's...mmm, my favorite. We got some ice cream at the end, so it made it all worth it!

Cambria's new 'do

A few weeks ago, Cambria's hair was making me crazy. The curls and the moppiness in her face were enough to make me want to shave it. Thankfully, I remained calm and only needed to cut it to a bob. Here are the results, minus a front shot because she kept turning her head.

Our beautiful weather

Monterey is not known for its super warm temperatures. Mostly because it doesn't have them. However, this week has been so fabulous that we've been to the beach for the last two days and been able to play in the water. The kids had so much fun playing with their friends and I, of course, had fun chatting with mine.

Late..pardon, Ladies Night

Last night, my friend had a Ladies Night at her house for anyone from church who wanted to come. We ordered Chinese and had some good laughs, blah blah blah, I got home at 1:25 am. What the heck? Do I still think I'm 20? I don't know what I was thinking, but when Cambria came into my room at 5:00 am, it reminded me that I am, in fact, not 20. I am so tired and yet here I sit, at my computer, instead of asleep in my bed. It's not right. Actually, it's quite wrong...

Cub Scout fun

Gavin had his first Cub Scout Pack meeting and received his first awards. It was very exciting for him. Also, I was unaware that he had to be flipped upside down to have the award pinned on. It was rather disconcerting to see myself struggle with that crazy pin while my child's face turned redder and redder. Ahh, good times, good times.

Disappointment

I took the boys to see Speed Racer today. The movie was not a disappointment, it was good...the trailers were a different story. I agreed to take them because I read that the trailer for Twilight was supposed to be shown before Speed Racer. Hooray, Twilight! Well, and this is where the disappoinment set in, The trailers finished and there was none for Twilight. Argh!!! It was rather upsetting. I guess maybe I'll take them again and hope it pops up next time. Here's hopin'!
