I got her in the camera!

Mom: Cambo, you look beautiful!
Cambria: Can you put it in the camera?
Mom: Put what in the camera?
Cambria: Me, I want to see me in the camera.
Apparently mirrors are just too low tech.

Our Ice Cream Ball

We got this groovy ice cream maker a while ago and we finally decided to give it a try. You put the ingredients in and then fill the other part of the ball with ice. After that is done, you shake it and roll it until you get ice cream. The kids thought it was pretty great. After 30 minutes of shaking the ball, however, my arms got a little tired!

Bagelized!

We have the greatest neighbor ever. He brings us cookies and cakes every Thursday. A few weeks ago, he also brought us a bag of bagels. The cakes often are just too much for us to eat all the time, so we thanked him for bagels especially. Well, since that expression of gratitude he has brought us at least 2 bags of bagels each week. We don't eat bagels every morning and they are starting to multiply. HELP! Who will help us eat these bagels? I had to take them out of my fridge and freezer because I needed space for my real groceries!

Carson got skills

Carson apparently figured out the camera. I wasn't aware of this until I uploaded pictures and got these. Oh Carson.

Pajama Party!

Some friends and I are involved in a preschool co-op where we take turns teaching the kids and, in turn, save loads of tuition. Anywho, this week was my week to teach and we decided to have a pajama party. The kids had fun wearing their favorite jammies to school. Here they are being a Chinese Dragon (we're learning about different cultures this month).

Oh Clint...

Clint thought it would be a great idea to put Carson on my shoulders while I was perfecting my pinball technique. Let's just say it wasn't entirely helpful.

A beautiful day in the neighborhood

We had a warm day on Saturday (it's only happened a few times) and so we immediately took advantage and headed to the playground. The kids kept asking to watch cartoons and play in their rooms, but we absolutely said no. We made them stay outside all day and I think it was definitely worth it!

Weight Watchers Candy? Oxymoron?

Today my visiting teachers came and brought a little gift. A mug filled with Weight Watchers chocolate. They know my WW plight and I love them for thinking of it! I figured I would give it a try. Delicious. I do absolutely fine when these things are not in my home. Once they are present, however, all bets are off. I ate all but one of the one-point treasures. Sure, there were only 8 pieces, but that's 8 points of dinner I need to avoid. Great! Either way, they're pretty darn good and I recommend them...if you have more self control than I do!

The family is gone

My Aunt and Uncle, full time 5th wheelers, have been living 30 minutes away from us all winter. It has been so fun to get to see them and for the kids to have some fill-in grandparents. The just left for their summer digs and we will miss them! Of course we ate at In-N-Out with them, I mean, come on, they know how we are.

Darth Cambo is Potty Trained!!

Hooray! I never thought it would really occur, but it has! She can no longer be counted among the Pull-Up wearers of the world. I just added the Darth Cambo picture because it cracks me up and she thought she looked awesome. It really has nothing to do with potty training.

Our Spring Break

Week One: Moving in and getting settled. The worst part about moving is that you can't dedicate all your time to just unpacking and putting stuff away. Children still need to be fed, laundry still needs to washed, and church stuff doesn't magically go away until you're all finished. It was a busy, and boring(Gavin said), first week, but we got the house mostly put together.
Week Two: The kids and I went to Idaho to visit with our friends from San Diego. Good ol' Kendra and her kids, Sierra and Glenn. The kids didn't skip a beat and went right back to playing like we never moved away. It was so much fun, minus the 12-hour road trip each way. Either way, we played a lot of cards, ate way too much Qdoba and had a cookie baking marathon on our last night there. Good times, good times. Our little Cambo received two additional nicknames on the trip as well...Cambriella (thanks, Glenn) and Cambodia. She is not war torn, merely a little precocious and quite fond of liquid soap.
