Old Friends

My friend, Amy, and I have been friends for 18 years. Wow, when you say that out loud it seems like a LONG time. Anywho, she still lives in Colorado Springs and it is always fun to get together. We took the kids over to the playground and then out to Red Robin for a rockin' good time! Our girls, Cambria and Alyssa, are about a year apart in age, but just about the same size. Such beauties!

Hangin' out on the boat

Day 3 - another driving day

Today we succeeded in getting 2/3 of the crew to take a nap. Good thing too, because if I heard "how much longer?" one more time, I may have had to jump out the window...it could have gone very badly.

Day 2 - Pit Stop in Utah

We figured it would be more fun for the kids if we didn't have to drive 2 days in a row to get to Colorado. Our pit stop occured in SLC and since it was 95 degrees, we headed over to Raging Waters. We lathered up completely with sunscreen, because the last thing we wanted was to sit in the car for 8 more hours with sunburns. Thankfully, no one got even a little burned. Hooray for Coppertone!

Colorado Trip - Day 1

Here's what it looks like while we are in the car. Pretty exciting. 12 1/2 hours after we left Marina, we arrived in Salt Lake City, UT. Only 740 tears, 6 potty stops, 9 million "are we there yet" comments, and 500 goldfish crackers were required for this part of the trip. Good thing we only had one more day of driving to reach our destination.

My latest crafty endeavor

I have had this idea in my head for about 4 years, and I finally got it done, with a little help from Gav-o. Here is the end result, I think it turned out pretty good.

Modified Bath Time

We don't have a bathtub in our new house. It was pretty upsetting for the kids, all of whom love the bath. I found a little (baby) blow up tub packed away with some old baby stuff and thought I could drag that out. It was quite a hit for Cambria. At one point she had about 17 bath toys in there with her. Needless to say, it was a bit cramped.
