Here we go, here we go, here we go again.
This is the end of the road for us. The California road anyway. We're off to WA today. It's bittersweet in so many ways. We have moved 7 times in the last 9 nine years (8 times, if you count moving next door last year). We get used to it, but not really. It's still hard to make new friends, to reestablish our home, to put down roots, knowing full well we'll have to rip them up again in a couple of years. It's part of the deal and that's what we do, we deal. Nevertheless, it's not something that I look forward to. When we go, there may be a little part of California that's empty because we're gone. Someone will come right along and fill in that hole and no one will even realize it's been filled. But, it will be. I, however, will be going to a giant empty hole and will need LOTS and LOTS of somebody's to fill it. It's not my favorite part about moving. Nope, definitely not my favorite. Wish us luck in the next few weeks and we'll blog ya later!

Seriously.
We saw this sign at the airport and I just thought I would share the madness.
Then what, pray tell, are storage lockers available for?

4th of July festivities
We hosted a little BBQ for a few friends and had a fantastic afternoon. We ended the evening with our "fireworks." Yes, I meant to put that in quotation marks. The BIG DADDY fireworks package was $1000. Clint opted for the equally entertaining, significantly less expensive package. To that, I say, "Good call, Clint." The kids smiled and clapped throughout the whole 6 minutes of bang. our awesome fireworks show...$20 doesn't get you much
It wasn't me!
I'm about tired of that phrase. I hear it 92 times a day and I know it's not true 1/3 of the time. Kids seem to think that we will assume someone broke into the house and spilled the juice/wasted the toilet paper/ate the cake and, said children, will avoid any consequences. Well, it simply isn't what I assume. Today was an easy conclusion. The child with cake on her face was clearly the guilty party. However, she blamed Carson...who wasn't even home. That girl may need a lesson on getting her facts in line. On second thought, maybe not.
'tis the season
Cambria's REAL birthday
Last month we had Cambria's party, but she didn't actually turn 4 until the 30th. We had a super fun day for her complete with treats for her class, Cold Stone, pizza with friends and, of course, gifts! We officially have no more toddlers.
her new Hello Kitty sunglasses and bubble blower
we love our free birthday ice cream
